Yokohama City Landscape Plan
- In Yokohama-shi, we devise "Yokohama-shi scenery plan" based on scenery law as basic rule for formation of good scenery and policy about formation of good scenery in the whole Yokohama-shi district (landscape promotion district) which forms good scenery ".
- Currently, four districts (landscape promotion districts) that require a report based on the Landscape Act when building buildings.

About scenery plan (Yokohama-shi scenery plan Chapter 2 Chapter 1) about development activity in slope green space
- Landscape plans for development activities in slope green spaces have been designated throughout Yokohama City.
- About this limit, report of scenery plan is unnecessary to perform examination, permission by development permission based on the Town Planning and Zoning Act. About landscape important trees
- Landscape Important Trees are systems based on the Landscape Act that designates trees that are important for the formation of a good local landscape and obliges the maintenance and conservation of trees.
- Designated trees may require permission when changing the current status of trees, such as cutting branches and roots.
- On January 18, 2011, 65 ginkgo trees (65 trees) along the Nihon Odori Avenue in Kannai-District were designated as important scenic trees.
