Yokohama City Landscape Plan

  • In Yokohama City, as a basic rule for the formation of a good landscape, we have formulated the "Yokohama City Landscape Plan" based on the Landscape Act, and policies on the formation of a good landscape throughout Yokohama City and "Good according to the district (landscape promotion district) that forms a landscape ".
  • There are currently four districts (landscape promotion districts) that require notification based on the Landscape Act when building buildings.

  • Landscape plans for development activities in slope green spaces have been designated throughout Yokohama City.
  • About this restriction, report of scenery plan is unnecessary to perform examination, permission by development permission based on the Town Planning and Zoning Act. About landscape important trees

  • A landscape-important tree is a system based on the Landscape Act that designates trees that are important for the formation of a good landscape in the region and requires the maintenance of trees in conservation.
  • Designated trees may require permission to change the current status of trees, such as cutting branches and roots.
  • On January 18, 2011, we designated 65 ginkgo trees along the Nihon Odori Avenue in Kannai-District as important landscape trees.
