Yokohama City Public Works Landscape Guidelines

Last Updated February 21, 2024

In Yokohama City, in 2014, "Yokohama City Public Works Landscape Guidelines (hereinafter referred to as "Guidelines") were compiled as a summary of knowledge and examples on landscape formation in public works that the city has conducted. At each stage from the concept and planning of public works to the maintenance and management, it has been used as a guide to show the way of thinking and viewpoints when examining the landscape.
Following the revision of the “Yokohama City Landscape Vision” at the end of FY2018, the guidelines were revised in May 2019, and the revised “Yokohama City Landscape Plan” (enforced in January 2020) and the “Yamate-District City Landscape Consultation Area” (enforced in the same month), Yamate-District was newly added to the 30-year Guidelines.
In addition, in order to make the night scenery of the coastal area of the city center more attractive, in July 2022, the guidelines were revised in September 2022 with the aim of further promoting the formation of attractive landscapes based on the concept of night scenery and matters to be considered.
Please use these guidelines when planning, maintenance, and management of public facilities in the city.
