   1 month: 16,980 yen

2. Additional premium
   (The first insured person who wishes to have more pension in the future.)
   One month ... 400 yen
   "Additional premium payment months x 200 yen" will be added to the basic old age pension (there is no price slide).
   In addition, the pension added to the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) is the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) Fund. Specifically, please see homepage (outside site) of national National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) fund metropolitan area branch.
   If you join the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) Fund, you will not be able to pay additional premiums.

※Insurance premiums are to be paid from the month of joining a certain amount, regardless of income or age.
※The entire National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premium paid can be deducted from your income as "social insurance deduction". At the time of year-end adjustment and final tax return, please apply for social insurance deductions for the amount paid between January and December of the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premium. In addition, not only the insurance premium of the person, but also the premium of the family (spouse, child, etc.) who made a living are subject to the deduction of the person who paid it. For year-end adjustments and final tax returns, please attach the “Social Insurance Premium (National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) Insurance Premium) Deduction Certificate” sent by the Japan pension Organization.

Please use the payment slip sent by the Japan pension Organization to pay at banks (including Japan Post Bank), agricultural cooperatives, fishing cooperatives, credit unions, shinkin banks, labor unions, convenience stores, etc. nationwide.

Payment can be made electronic (cashless) payment by reading the payment application on which the barcode is printed with a payment application.

From Tuesday, January 9, 2024, National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) insurance premiums will be able to pay from Nenkin Net even if you have a payment slip at hand.

Monthly premiums must be paid by the last day of the following month.
Please pay the insurance premium by the deadline. In addition, insurance premiums can be paid in the same amount within two years after the deadline. Please note that two years after the deadline, the statute of limitations will expire and you will not be able to pay for that month.
In addition, the deadline for payment of advance payment is as follows.

The first insured person pays the premium on an individual. However, if it is difficult to pay the National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premium for financial reasons, it will be exempted from paying insurance premiums if the application is approved.
