Information from the Japan pension Organization regarding COVID-19 infection is posted.

Exemption from National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premium due to decreased revenue due to the impact of COVID-19

In the event that income falls to a considerable extent due to loss of business or a decrease in sales due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the procedures for exemption and payment of National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) insurance premiums and special student payments will be terminated upon application for fiscal 2022.
For insurance premiums during the following period, you can continue to apply for extraordinary special measures.

  • The special student payment system is based on insurance premiums from two years and one month before the application month to March 2023.
  • The premium exemption / payment deferral system is applied from the month two years and one month before the application month to June 2023.

About procedure of National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) by mail

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, some procedures at National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) can be submitted by mail.
Before mailing, please check with the ward office National Pension Plan Section or the pension office in your ward to check the information on the documents and attached documents. Please note that we may contact you if there are any defects.
