About use of pregnant woman Health Checkups expense assistance ticket
In Yokohama City, when handing out the Maternal and Child Health Handbook, 14 auxiliary tickets are given to assist pregnant women in Health Checkups.
We assist about the cost of basic pregnant woman medical examination and self-financing examination with medical examination.
Examinations only for examinations and examinations covered by insurance are not eligible for assistance.
In addition, from October 2024 (planned), an additional subsidy of 50,000 yen will be started. For more information, please refer to this page.
Expiration date of the auxiliary ticket (Pregnant women Health Checkups who consulted before receiving the Maternal and Child Health Handbook are not eligible for assistance.)
Pregnant woman Health Checkups Health Checkups expense subsidy ticket expires from [at the time of receipt of maternal and child health handbook] to [before childbirth].
If you know you are pregnant, go to your ward Health and Welfare Center to get a Maternal and Child Health Handbook as soon as possible.

- Medical institutions that conduct prenatal checkups with the Yokohama City Medical Association
- Out-of-city pregnant woman medical examination conduct medical institution contracted with Yokohama-shi

- This is a list of medical institutions confirmed by September 11, 2024. The list will be updated from time to time.
- Midwifery offices contracted with Yokohama City
- Being a midwife who handles delivery and meets the Medical Law
- Pregnant women themselves should also check with contracts with contracted medical institutions and contracted doctors at the midwifery center to be used, and cooperation with medical institutions.

Attention
It cannot be used at windows such as medical institutions that do not have a contract with Yokohama City.
If you are unable to use the auxiliary ticket at the time of a prenatal checkup, be sure to receive the receipt and keep the receipt and the auxiliary ticket that you did not use.
Assistance for those who have multiple pregnancy
In addition to the 14 auxiliary tickets, 5 tickets (4,700 yen x 4 tickets, 12,000 yen x 1 ticket) will be issued.

Delivery method
Based on your request, each Health and Welfare Center will issue a spelling (separate volume).
Those who have already been issued the Maternal and Child Health Handbook will also issue a separate volume.

How to use the maternity Health Checkups expense subsidy ticket
- You can use one auxiliary ticket for each medical checkup at Health Checkups, a pregnant woman from the time you receive the Maternal and Child Health Handbook until before giving birth.
- There is no rule in the order of use of auxiliary tickets, so please consult with family doctor after pregnancy.
- Only 4,700 yen tickets can be used at the midwifery office.
- Please note that the amount of the auxiliary ticket will be deducted from the total medical examination cost, and the difference will be borne by yourself.
Attention
If the medical examination fee is less than the amount of the auxiliary ticket, it cannot be used at the counter of medical institutions.
If you are unable to use the auxiliary ticket at the time of a prenatal checkup, be sure to receive the receipt and keep the receipt and the auxiliary ticket that you did not use.

Precautions for Application
- Prenatal checkups at midwives that do not have a contract with Yokohama City are not eligible.
- Please refer to Child and Youth Bureau area child care support section about contract midwifery center.
- The cost to be subsidized is the co-payment of medical examinations that did not use the auxiliary ticket. Expenses paid when using an auxiliary ticket are not eligible.
- Medical examinations after using all auxiliary tickets are not eligible for the furtherance.
- When applying, it is necessary to attach an unused auxiliary ticket.
- Medical examinations before the issuance of the Maternal and Child Health Handbook and postpartum medical examinations are not eligible for the subsidy.
- If you visit an overseas medical institution, the cost will not be eligible for the grant.
- In some cases, such as in the case of examination only, there may be no burden for pregnant women. In that case, you will not be eligible for the cost subsidy.
- Pregnant women Health Checkups expense assistance tickets that have been multiple pregnancy and have been additionally issued will be eligible for assistance for prenatal checkups received after April 1, 2021.
