Support for initial obstetric consultation fees for low-income pregnant women

In Yokohama City, low-income pregnant women subsidize the cost of the first obstetric consultation to receive a pregnancy judgment.

Target person (one who meets all requirements)

・Those who have confirmed positive with a commercially available pregnancy test drug
・Pregnant women who belong to a residence tax-exempt household with Address in Motoichi on the day of the first obstetric consultation or pregnant women who are deemed to have the same income level as the household.
 ※social security households are not eligible.
 ※Applicable to those who have the first obstetric consultation date after February 19, 2024.

Subject to grant

Consultation costs for the first obstetric consultation
(However, only once per pregnancy, the upper limit is 10,000 yen.)
※The consultation fee for the first obstetric consultation refers to non-insurance medical treatment, and is the cost related to the consultation and examination.
 Some co-payments for insurance medical treatment are not eligible.

Documents required at the time of application

・Documents proving that you belong to a municipal tax-exempt household on the first obstetric consultation day (such as a tax-exempt certificate for all households that can confirm that you are a tax-exempt household on the day of the consultation)
・Documents that show the cost of the consultation, such as a copy of a receipt issued by an obstetric medical institution
・Those who know that they have been diagnosed with pregnancy (e.g., cover of Maternal and Child Health Handbook)

How to apply

Before applying, make sure that you are eligible for the above.
If you are eligible, please apply electronically (outside site) (outside site).
※When using the Yokohama City Electronic Application System, user registration is required.

If you take a picture of required documents before applying electronically, the procedure will be smooth.
If you would like to apply in writing or have an income level equivalent to a household exempt from residence tax, please contact the following Local Child Care Support Section.
We will inform you of the procedure separately.

Application deadline

1 year from the date of the first maternity consultation
(Until the day before the anniversary of the anniversary)
