Maternity Health Checkups

From 2018, even contracted medical institutions outside the city that have contracted can use the auxiliary ticket for maternity checkups after childbirth.
※Medical institutions for Health Checkups Pregnant Women and Health Checkups are not the same.

For maternity women who gave birth on or after June 1, 2017, there are two types of auxiliary tickets.
It can be used only if each condition is met.

• Maternity women who have undergone a medical examination at a contracted medical institution in Yokohama
• Medical examination must be taken within the designated period after childbirth and the doctor deems necessary
  • Within the designated period refers to the period between 5 and 21 days after childbirth.

• Maternity women who have undergone a medical examination at a contracted medical institution in Yokohama
• All women who can be consulted within the designated period after childbirth are eligible
  • Within the designated period refers to the period between 22 and 60 days after childbirth.

Up to twice a month, 2 weeks after birth and 2 times a month.
The subsidy for each time is 5,000 yen.

Submit the auxiliary ticket to the medical institution where you will receive, and the subsidy will be deducted from the cost.
The results of the medical examination will be reported to Yokohama City by the user institution.
Fill out the questionnaire and submit it to the medical institution along with the maternity Health Checkups expense subsidy ticket.
(The questionnaire will be distributed from medical institutions.)

※Please note that there is no reimbursement system for Health Checkups.
※You will be responsible for the cost of consulting at a medical institution that does not have a contract.

Distribution Location: Children and Families Support Division (Health and Welfare Center)
Distribution period: Distributed together with the Maternal and Child Health Handbook at the time of notification of pregnant women

Interviews (living environment, breastfeeding status, childcare anxiety, etc.)
Examinations (worn dew, breast condition, uterine restoring, etc.)
Weight and blood pressure measurement
Urine test (proteaku and sugar)
Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Questionnaire (EPDS)
In addition, medical examinations will be conducted using the necessary questionnaire as appropriate.

From 2018, you can use the auxiliary ticket for maternity checkups after childbirth can be used at contracted medical institutions outside the city.

• Medical institutions that have contracted with Yokohama City are eligible for the use of auxiliary tickets.
• Even medical institutions that can use supplementary tickets for maternity checkups during pregnancy may not be able to use the maternity checkup assistance ticket after childbirth.
