Immediately after giving birth, it is a time when both mind and body tend to be unstable. In Yokohama City, the Yokohama City Postpartum Maternal and Child Care Business (Short Stay Day Care) is a place where you can learn how to raise children while receiving advice from midwives and others for those who have physical and mental disorders after childbirth or those who are worried about childcare. Subject to use
It applies to mothers and babies who meet all of the following conditions.
Public health nurses and midwives at the ward office where you live will ask you what you are worried about during interviews and home visits, and then the ward office will adjust usage.
・Those who have Address in Yokohama and are less than 4 months after birth (preterm infants are less than 4 months based on the expected date of birth)
・Those who have physical and mental disorders or childcare anxiety after childbirth
・Those who have no disease under treatment for both mother and child when using the service (*)
※If you are only going to the hospital, you may be able to use it, so please consult us.
◆However, please note that you will not be able to use it if any of the following applies.
・When one of the mothers and children suffer from infectious diseases (measles, rubella, influenza, etc.)
・When one of the mothers and children needs to be hospitalized
・If the mother has a physical or mental disorder or illness and needs medical intervention (however, this does not apply if the doctor determines that it is possible to respond in the postpartum maternal and child care business.)

Public health nurses and midwives at the ward office will continue to provide consultation on child care after use.

・It is not available for those who need hospital treatment. After confirming the physical condition of the mother and child after childbirth, the ward office will make a use decision.
・For cancellation, it is necessary to contact the facility you plan to use and the ward office by 17:00 two days before the use date. If you do not contact us, you will be charged.
Precautions for Use
- Interviews with public health nurses, midwives, maternal and child health coordinators at the ward office Children and Families Support Division are required in advance.
- At the time of consultation, it is not a guarantee of use. After giving birth, you have you apply for use, and after ward office confirms physical condition of mother and baby, we coordinate use with use facility.
- If you change the schedule or cancel (cancel) after the usage decision, a cancellation fee may be charged.
- Please note that we may not be able to meet your request regarding the facilities used and the date and time of use, depending on the availability of the bed of the facility.
- After use, public health nurses, midwives, etc. of the ward office may ask you about the situation afterwards. If you have any concerns, please contact the ward office.
How to apply for use and the flow to use
・Applications can be accepted at the ward office Children and Families Support Division after giving birth. (Reception hours: Weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays)
・Consultation on use is possible during pregnancy. If you are consulting during pregnancy, please contact your ward office Children and Families Support Division from the middle of pregnancy to the 37th week of late pregnancy.
・We will check the status of childcare and the health status of mothers and children after childbirth, and send you a notice of use decision (non-determination).
