About application for certification of free benefits of those who use non-licensed childcare facilities
"Non-licensed childcare facilities, etc." on this page are ①Non-licensed childcare facilities (including babysitters), 2 Temporary childcare, 3 sick childcare business, 4 Infant temporary custody business, 5 Yokohama child care support system (excluding pick-up only), 6 company-led childcare business (regional frame) ), 7 Yokohama nursery rooms, etc. (3-5 year old class or households exempt from municipal tax).

If you receive a benefit certification from Yokohama City, you will be able to receive free benefits for early childhood education and childcare (hereinafter referred to as “free benefits”) for usage fees for non-licensed childcare facilities. In order to receive this benefit, you must follow the steps below.

1 Those who are eligible for certification application
If you meet all of the following and receive a benefit authorization from Yokohama City, you will be eligible for free benefits.
- Not at a nursery school (*1)
- Satisfies Yokohama City's "Certification Standards for Needing Childcare"
- Children from the 3-year-old class to the 5-year-old class or children in households exempt from municipal tax (* 2)
※1 Kindergarten / certified child institution, Yokohama nursery room (0 to 2 year old class), year-limited childcare business, company-led childcare business (employee quota)
※2 Includes tax-exempt persons if they are deemed to be widows, etc., protected under the Public Assistance Act and foster parents under the Child Welfare Law and foster parents under the Child Welfare Law
※Caution※
During childcare leave, childcare is often possible at home, so in principle, you will not be able to receive benefits certification in principle. However, from the viewpoint of child welfare, if all of the following requirements are met, or if elementary school student, which uses a community-based childcare business, wishes to continue using childcare leave after graduation, they can receive benefits certification.

① Use non-licensed childcare facilities before taking childcare leave
② Use the same facility during childcare leave

Until the last day of the month to which childcare leave ends.
