Those who are considering using non-approved childcare facilities
When choosing an unapproved childcare facility
Last update date September 22, 2023
Non-licensed childcare facilities are a general term for childcare facilities that have not been approved as child welfare facilities based on the Child Welfare Law.
In order to set up and operate unlicensed childcare facilities, it is necessary to meet the national notice's "Standards for Guidance and Supervision of Non-licensed Childcare Facilities" from the viewpoint of ensuring the safety of elementary school student and appropriate childcare standards. It is targeted for supervision, and Motoichi carries out on-site inspection once a year.
Childcare facilities spend most of the time of their lives, and depending on their environment and childcare content, they may affect not only the child's safety and health, but also healthy development. When deciding on a childcare facility to leave your child, refer to the “How to Choose a Good Childcare Facility (Notice of the Childcare Division, Child and Family Bureau, Ministry of Health and Welfare)”, and actually visit the facilities. Please check.
In addition, the installers of the facilities subject to notification are required to submit the following "posting of service contents" and "grant of contract contents", so please refer to these as well.
