What is a Bright Election Promotion Council?

The "Bright Election Promotion Council" is an organization that works as volunteers with the aim of realizing a clean election without fraud and actively participating in voting by voters, who are the basis of democracy.

A "bright election" is an election in which voters are willing to participate in voting with the awareness of sovereigns, elections are open and properly, and our intentions are correctly reflected in politics.

This council consists of promotion committee members recommended by representatives of each district in Kohoku Ward and PTA Liaison Council,Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations.

Major activities

Street awareness
Call for Voting at the time of election (Myorenji Station)

At the time of election, we call on streets such as station square or shopping street for the purpose of having voters know voting day and have you vote.
Even when there is no election, we are developing a variety of businesses so that inhabitants of the ward can be interested in politics and elections.
 

Enlightenment

Participation in Oldness and Kohoku Fureai Festival

A booth has been exhibited in the "Furusato Kohoku Fureai Festival" and a "Character General Election" is being held.
Visitors are invited to participate in a mock voting to select the characters of their favorite exhibiting organization, and distribute educational items.

Holding workshops

For promotion committee members and promotion members, we hold workshops to raise awareness of the bright election promotion campaign, and deepen our knowledge of politics and elections.

Enlightenment of young people and educational institutions

On-site classes for election, equipment rental

In elementary and junior high schools and high schools in the city, we conduct on-site classes for election "Senkyo Forum" and rental of electoral equipment.

Various contests on the theme of election

For elementary school, junior high school students, and high school students who are future voters, we are planning contests to raise their interest in politics and elections, and are recruiting works. Prize-winning works are used for election enlightenment projects planned by the council.

Issuance of "Icott Communications"

We edit and publish the official newspaper "Icott Communication" to publish information on activities and news of elections, and to have the bright election promotion campaign and the existence of the council widely known.

Implementation of street enlightenment

In front of the station or in shopping streets, we are calling for publicity of voting days and voting participation in voting.

Enlightenment through outdoor advertising

We raise awareness by posting posters and banners to various places in the city, running of wrapping cars, etc.

Appointment as a witness for voting in early voting

As a voting witness at the early polling place and an external witness for absentee voting at hospitals and nursing homes, we cooperate with witnesses in polling places so that voting work is performed fairly and properly.
