What is a bright election promotion council?

The "Bright Election Promotion Council" is an organization that works as a volunteer with the aim of realizing a clean election without injustice and actively participating in voting by voters who are the basis of democracy.

A "bright election" is an election in which voters are willing to participate in voting with awareness as sovereigns, elections are held openly and properly, and our intentions are correctly reflected in politics. .

Member

The council consists of promotion committee members recommended by representatives of each district in Kohoku Ward and PTA liaison councils, and promotion members recommended by Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations in each district.

Major Activities

Street enlightenment
Call for voting at the time of election (Myorenji Station)

At the time of election, we call on the streets, such as in front of the station or shopping streets, for the purpose of informing voters of the voting day and voting.
Even when there is no election, we are developing a variety of businesses so that inhabitants of the ward can be interested in politics and elections.

Constant awareness

Participation in the Hometown Kohoku Fureai Festival

We display booth in "oldness and Kohoku contact festival" and carry out "character general election".
We have visitors participate in a mock voting to select characters from their favorite exhibiting organizations, and distribute educational items.

Holding of workshops

For promotion committee members and members of promotion, we hold workshops to raise awareness of bright election promotion campaigns and deepen our knowledge of politics and elections. .

Enlightenment of young people and educational institutions

Visiting classes for elections, lending equipment

In elementary and junior high schools, high schools, etc. in the city, we conduct on-site election classes "Senkyo Forum" and rental of election equipment.

Contest on the theme of election

We are planning contests and recruiting works for elementary, junior high and high school students who are future voters to raise interest in politics and elections. Prize-winning works are used for election enlightenment projects planned by the council.

Issuance of the official newspaper "Ikot Communication"

We edit and publish the bulletin "Ikot Newsletter" in order to publish activities and news of elections, and to widely understand the bright election promotion campaign and the existence of the council.

Implementation of street enlightenment

While distributing educational items in front of the station or in shopping streets, we are calling for publicity of voting days and participation in voting.

Enlightenment through Outdoor Advertising

We carry out enlightenment publicity by posting posters and banners to various places in the city, running wrapping cars, etc.

Appointment as a witness to vote in early voting

As a voting witness at an early polling place or an external witness when performing absentee voting at a hospital or nursing home, we cooperate with the witness in the polling place so that voting affairs can be performed fairly and appropriately.
