Even those who have the right to vote cannot vote unless they are registered in the electoral list of the municipality.

Those who are registered in the electoral list are those who meet the following requirements.

• Being a Japanese citizen
• Being 18 years old or older
• More than 3 months have passed since resident registration (transfer notification)

Registration of the electoral list is based on the Basic Resident Register.

Every year March, June, September, and December 1 is registered as the base date and registration date.

Set the base date and registration date for each election and register.

In the following cases, it will be deleted from the electoral list.

• When he died
• When the loss of Japanese nationality
• When 4 months have passed since the transfer date (date of move to other municipalities)

Excerpts of the electoral list can be viewed based on the provisions of the Public Office Election Law.

You can view only the following cases.

1. When confirming whether a particular person is registered in the electoral list
2. When a political party or other political organization, such as a candidate for public office, conducts political activities and election campaigns
3. Statistical surveys, public opinion polls, academic research, and other research that are deemed to have high public interest and that are related to politics or elections

But we cannot read from closing day (holiday, from December 29 to January 3) and announcement date of election date (notification date) of election date to five days after election date.
