Even those who have the right to vote cannot vote unless they are registered in the electoral list of the municipality.

Those who are registered in the electoral list are those who meet the following requirements.

• Being a Japanese citizen
• Be at least 18 years of age
• More than 3 months have passed since you registered as a resident (transfer notification)

Registration of the electoral list is based on the Basic Resident Register.
When you move Address, make sure you provide accurate notification of resident certificate so that you can vote in the municipality where you live.

Register March, June, September, and December 1 as the base date and registration date every year.

We will set the base date and registration date for each election and register.

In the following cases, it will be deleted from the electoral list.

• When he died
• Loss of Japanese nationality
• When four months have passed since the date of transfer (date of move to other municipalities)

An abstract of the electoral list can be viewed in accordance with the provisions of the Public Office Election Law.

You can view it only in the following cases.

1. When confirming whether a particular person is registered in the electoral list
2. When political parties or other political organizations, such as candidates for public office, conduct political activities or election campaigns.
3. Statistical surveys, public opinion polls, academic research, or other research that are deemed to have high public interest and that are related to politics or elections.

However, it cannot be viewed from the closing date (holiday, from December 29 to January 3) and the announcement date (notification date) of the election date to 5 days after the election date.

Reading is limited to visual reading or writing (including input to a personal computer).

Copying, shooting, recording, etc. by copying, scanners, faxes, cameras, personal computers, etc. are not allowed.
