Right to vote (right to vote)

The right to vote is the right to elect representatives of the national or local governments (prefectures, municipalities) in elections.

  • A person who has Address in Yokohama for more than three months
Member of the Yokohama-shi
  • In order to actually vote, you need to be registered in the electoral list of the Election Commission.

Election rights (rights to run for candidacy)

The right to be elected is the right to run for a member of the Diet or a member of the Diet or a member of a local government (prefectures, municipalities, etc.).

  • The age for which the right to vote and the right to be elected is calculated based on the election date (voting date).
  • Even if they meet the requirements, those who have been sentenced to crime do not have the right to vote or be elected during that period.
