Procedures for enrolling in elementary and junior high schools such as private or national schools

If a child with a resident registration in Kohoku Ward is enrolled in an elementary or junior high school, it is necessary to submit a “Notice of Study Abroad” to the Kohoku Ward Office (excluding international schools and schools).
If you are going to enter elementary and junior high schools in other municipalities, please consult with the Board of Education of other municipalities.
Procedure for "in the middle of the school year (transfer school)"
If you are going to enter a private or national elementary or junior high school in the middle of the school year, please submit "Transfer / withdrawal registration form" to the "Transfer School".
Procedures for "elementary and junior high schools where you plan to attend school
You will receive a document such as a “School (Enrollment) Consent Form (Permission) Agreement (Permit)” that indicates that the school you plan to attend.
Please note that the “Success Notice” is not a document that has been approved for attending school, so it cannot be used in the “Notice of Out-of-area Study”.
Procedures at the Kohoku Ward Office
Please submit "registration form out-of-area Study Abroad" and "Agreement of Consent (Permission) (No copy allowed) to submit to Kohoku Ward Family Registry Division.
In addition, it is also possible to apply.
