About the evacuation sites to be opened in the event of a typhoon or heavy rain

Yokohama City has selected cliffs that may cause significant damage to houses in the event of a landslide, and has selected the "Immediate evacuation warning Area" to issue evacuation warning at the same time.                                                                       When landslide disaster alert information is announced in the northern part of Yokohama City, the Kohoku Ward Office will immediately issue the evacuation warning in the area covered by evacuation warning and will open two evacuation sites locations to allow residents to evacuate.

When earth and sand disaster warning information is announced in the northern part of Yokohama City from March 25, 2019, Kanagawa Prefecture and Yokohama City will send "Emergency Bulletin Mail" to all smartphones and mobile phones of all of you in Kohoku Ward at that time.

When going to evacuation sites

Before starting evacuation, please check the status of evacuation sites on TV data broadcasting or Yokohama City website.
Avoid along rivers and cliffs, and evacuate while it is bright on a safe route.
Please bring necessary items such as food, water and towels to evacuation sites. There is no parking space.

Masks at evacuation sites to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection!

In evacuation sites, the three conditions of "sealing, dense, and close" are easy to meet, and there is concern about outbreaks of COVID-19 infection.
We ask for your cooperation to protect yourself from disasters and infectious diseases.
  ①If you can secure your safety at home in the event of a disaster, please try to evacuate at home.
   Prepare stockpiles such as food and toilet packs in preparation for home evacuation.
  ②Please consider evacuation to relatives, acquaintances' homes, accommodation facilities, etc.
  ③Please bring a mask or thermometer when you evacuate to evacuation sites.

In case of evacuation with pets

evacuation sites is used by various people, including those who are not good at animals and those who are allergic to animals. Please observe the following rules in evacuation sites when keeping your pet. Depending on the evacuation sites, pets may not be able to evacuate.

  • Pets cannot be managed in the same place as the owner lives in evacuation.
  • Pets should be kept in a cage at the designated temporary breeding area. Depending on the facility, the temporary breeding space may be exposed to wind and rain.
  • evacuation sites does not have a stockpile of pets. The owner must bring all necessary items such as cages, food, and other items.
  • The owner should dispose of the excrement and garbage from evacuation sites.

Depending on the size of the disaster and facilities, temporary pet breeding grounds in evacuation sites may not be the best place for pets. Consider temporary storage locations such as relatives, acquaintances, veterinary hospitals, etc. in advance.
