What is rotavirus gastroenteritis?
The rotavirus that has invaded through the mouth infects the intestinal tract. It is very infectious, and it is difficult to prevent infection even if you wash your hands and disinfect your hands thoroughly, and most children are infected.
Diarrhea and vomiting can be cured in about a week, but severe diarrhea and vomiting can cause dehydration, which is the most common infection among acute gastroenteritis in infants.
It is a virus that can be transmitted many times in a lifetime, but when you are infected with rotavirus for the first time, it is particularly likely to become severe and rarely affects the brain and kidneys.
Vaccinations should be completed early, as they may be infected immediately after birth.
How to Vaccinations
There are two types of rotavirus vaccines, both of which are live vaccines (attenuated virus) and are drinks. There is no difference in preventive effects and safety between the two vaccines, but the number of vaccinations is different, so consider the vaccination schedule with other vaccines, consult with a doctor at a medical institution, and inoculate one of the vaccine please.
In addition, as it is not possible to change kind of vaccine from the middle, so please inoculate the vaccine you inoculated first after the second time.
As it is a period when many vaccines [Hib (hib), pneumococcus for children, hepatitis B, etc.] overlaps, consult with a doctor at a medical institution and consider vaccinate at the same time with other vaccinations please.
In each case, please complete the vaccination within the standard vaccination period [from 2 months after birth to 14 weeks and 6 days after birth]. (initial vaccinations after 15 weeks 0 days of birth are not recommended.)
In addition, since the rotavirus vaccine increases the risk of enteropathy after vaccination, it is not possible to receive either regular or voluntary vaccinations if the period covered by vaccination exceeds the period covered by vaccination. Please be careful.

Side reaction of vaccine
Severe side effects on the day of vaccination may rarely cause anaphylaxis symptoms (such as rash due to vaccine allergies, dyspnea, etc.) on the day of vaccination.
Studies have also reported that the risk of enteropathy is higher than usual for about one to two weeks after receiving the vaccination.
Symptoms of intestinal hypertension include "suddenly crying", "repeated mood or disgust", "vomiting", "blood stool", and "loppy and complexion".
If at least one of these symptoms is seen or if the situation is different from usual, consult a medical institution immediately.
