About Japanese Encephalitis routine immunization (remedies)

Remedies

While the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in May 2005, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, the development of a new vaccine has allowed us to receive the Vaccinations in Japanese Encephalitis as usual.

As a remedy
 If the date of birth is between "April 2, 2004 and April 1, 1996", you can inoculate the unvaccinated portion until you are under 20 years old.

※As of April 1, 2024, those whose birth date is "April 2, 1995 to April 1, 2004"

 The remedy period has ended because it is already over 20 years old.

 
 [Reference] Remedies for those whose birth date is between "April 2, 2007 and October 1, 2009" are:
     It was finished because all subjects exceeded the 2nd vaccination deadline (under 13 years old).
     ※If your date of birth is between "April 2, 2007 and October 1, 2009", please
      If the specified number of times has not been inoculated during the target age period of the first term
      It was possible to inoculate unvaccinated doses during the target age period of the second term (9 to 13 years old).

About Japanese Encephalitis's pre-examination card

1 term (first time, first time 2, addition) (including remedy)

・When the Mother and Child Health Handbook has been issued in Yokohama City
 →You can use the pre-examination card spelled out in the "separate volume" or "Vaccinations spelling" handed when the Mother and Child Health Handbook was issued.
・When transferred to Yokohama City from outside the city
 →Please bring your "Mother and Child Health Handbook" and "Things that know the age of your child (Health Insurance Card, etc.)" and come to the ward office Health Promotion Section of your residence.
・Lost or damaged
 →Please bring your "Mother and Child Health Handbook" and a copy of your child's age (health insurance card, etc.) and come to the ward office Health Promotion Section.

2nd term (including remedies)

・Those who do not have a pre-examination card
 →Pre-examination vouchers for the second term of Japanese Encephalitis is available in Cooperating Medical Institutions. (Please check with your medical institution in advance.)

~ For those who receive Japanese Encephalitis Vaccinations and over 13 years old~
Vaccinations must be accompanied by a guardian, but those who receive the Japanese Encephalitis Vaccinations who are 13 years old or older can be vaccinated without a parent or guardian.

Current status

With the aim of preventing the outbreak and spread of Japanese Encephalitis, Vaccinations has been routinely carried out since it was positioned under the Immunization Act in 1976 to prevent the outbreak and spread of severe ADEM (acute sporadic encephalomyelitis) after inoculation of the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine.
Subsequently, the Japanese Encephalitis vaccine (Vaccinations) was approved under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law in February 2009, and the relevant laws and regulations were revised on June 2, 2009.
