Osanbashi Wharf

Yokohama Port, which opened in 1859, opened in 1859, is the oldest port facility in Yokohama Port, which was built from Meiji 22 (1889) to 29 (1896) as a full-fledged port facility in modern ports. It is a wharf.
With the opening of the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, Yokohama Port has undergone major remodeling, including the establishment of a new passenger ship terminal for foreign passenger ships, and has welcomed passenger ships entering Yokohama Port as a full-fledged passenger ship wharf. It has become.
In line with the 2002 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament held in Japan and South Korea in 2002, the new Yokohama International Passenger Terminal was opened as a port and an international cruise terminal suitable for cruises in the 21st century.
In addition, a designated manager system has been introduced for the operation of the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal since FY2006.
