Daikokufutou

Daikoku Futo is Yokohama Port's first full-fledged island-type wharf that was reclaimed and maintained from 1971 to 1990 in order to respond to the increase in cargo entering and leaving the sea and containerization. There are a total of 25 berths (total length: 5,250m) including container berth and liner berth.
The Yokohama Port Distribution Center (Y-CC) (total floor area of about 320,000 m2), which was recognized as the first comprehensive tax zone (FAZ) in eastern Japan and opened in August 1996, is one of the largest distribution facilities in Japan. As a major distribution hub in the Tokyo metropolitan area, it plays a major role in strengthening the logistics function of Yokohama Port and revitalizing the Minato economy. In April 2004, National Route 357 Yokohama Bay Bridge (Honmaki Pier to Daikoku Pier) was opened, and access to Honmoku Pier and Minami-Honmaki Wharf were dramatically improved. As a result, along with the Metropolitan Expressway where interchanges are located in the wharf, the road network behind Yokohama Port has been strengthened, making it a highly convenient logistics base with an interchange on the wharf.
Daikoku Futo is currently shifting its functions from container berth to automotive berths, including RO/RO vessels, in order to handle the handling of completed vehicles such as passenger cars and trucks, which are the main export items of Yokohama Port, and large construction machinery.
In 2022, the maintenance of P3 and T3-8 was completed, making it possible for five large-sized car-only vessels and 11 vessels at the same time in Japan, making it possible for five large-sized vehicles and 11 vessels at the same time.
On the other hand, the Daikoku Futo also supports the acceptance of large passenger ships that cannot pass through Yokohama Bay Bridge.
Inside the wharf, the Daikoku Wharf Central Green Space with one baseball stadium, one multipurpose ground, four tennis courts, and the Daikoku Kaizuri Facility are also provided as welfare facilities for port workers. I am.
