50.It's almost complete! "Hashigiwa bridge" of Akuwa River will be renewed!

Last Updated July 21, 2022

Construction work

Rivers of various sizes, such as the Sakaigawa River and Izumi River, flow through Izumi Ward.
One of them, the Akuwa River, flows through the northeastern part of the Izumi Ward, is a second-class river that joins the Kashio River around Kamiyabe, Totsuka-ku. The other day, we inspected the replacement work of Hashigiwa Bridge on the Akuwa River.

Replacement work was underway, but a new bridge bridge is scheduled to be completed in August.
The length of the bridge was 13.1m and the standard effective width of the bridge was 5.0m, and cars did not pass each other at the old bridge, but it was possible to pass each other with a new bridge.
On the base of the bridge, reinforcing bars are knitted on a basket, and a pile filled with concrete is embedded up to about 40m underground deep underground, supporting the bridge firmly.

Construction of the bridge near the bridge will be completed soon, but river renovation work will still continue.
We hope that each and every business and approach will lead to the safety and security of everyone living in the community.
