I move out of Yokohama-shi, but what should I do with sign (license plate) of motor bike?

Please return the license plate by one of the following methods (1) or (2).
（１） When registering in a municipality in the New Address area after scrapping a car in Yokohama City
Please complete the scrap car procedure at the window of the ward office where the sign (license plate) was issued, and submit the "Junk Car Declaration Receipt Form (Junk Car Certificate)" to the municipalities in the Shin-Address area to complete the procedure.
（２） When registering to change Address with a sign (license plate) attached without scrapping
No procedures are required in Yokohama City. Please bring your signing certificate and sign (license plate) and submit it to the municipalities in the new Address area. Collect signs (license plates) at the municipality where you submit.
In some municipalities, Address change registration of undisused vehicles cannot be registered. In that case, please dispose of the car first at the ward office that issued the sign (license plate) as shown in (1). Please check with the municipalities in the new Address area in advance.
(Caution) Motorcycles with a displacement of more than 125cc (two-wheeled light motor vehicles and two-wheeled small vehicles) must be handled by the Kanagawa Transportation Bureau, and light motor vehicles with three or more wheels will be handled by the Kanagawa Office of the light motor vehicles Inspection Association. Please contact each institution for the documents and procedures required for the procedure.
