We sell used cars in light motor vehicles. I heard that there is no tax on merchandise cars. Is it a tax exemption?

Article 72 of the Yokohama City Tax Ordinance stipulates that "the light motor vehicles tax (keijidosha-zei) shall not be imposed on light motor vehicles and other products that are not used."
In light of the fact that light motor vehicles tax (keijidosha-zei) is a contribution to road damage, it does not impose light motor vehicles tax (keijidosha-zei) on products in the distribution stage where it is not possible to travel on the road. Therefore, even if products are in the distribution stage, those that carry out procedures for driving on the road (those whose numbers are registered) are not subject tolight motor vehicles tax (keijidosha-zei).
