Do I have to pay if I am hospitalized for COVID-19 infection?

Due to the transition of the new coronavirus infection to Class 5 infectious diseases on May 8, 2023, there has been a co-payment for treatment costs.
However, measures have been taken to limit the amount reduced from the high medical costs's co-payment limit as follows:
In addition, there is some public funding support for drug costs. For more information, please refer to "What are the drugs related to COVID-19 infections that are subject to public expenditure?"

After changing its position as a Class 5 infectious disease (May 8, 2023) to September 2023 | In principle, 20,000 yen |
October 2005 to March 6 | In principle, 10,000 yen |
(If the amount is less than the amount of reduction, that amount will be the copayment amount.)
