Where can I get a test for COVID-19?

Last Updated July 18, 2024

Health and Medical Care
A

It is roughly divided into the following two types.

1.Self-testing using a test kit

Perform self-test with antigen qualitative test kits for "prescription drugs" and "over-the-counter drugs (OTC)" approved by the government that can be purchased at pharmacies and drug stores (including the Internet).
※For ethical drugs, the outer box has a label of "in-vitro diagnostic drug", and for over-the-counter drugs, the outer box has a label of "class 1 drug".
Please note that research applications are not approved and do not have this display.

2.Tests at your GP or your local medical institution

Please contact your GP or your local medical institution directly to see your doctor. It depends on the doctor's judgment whether or not to perform the examination.
※If you are going to be tested at your own request, not at your doctor's discretion, look for a medical institution that conducts the test through free medical care.
