About voting participation situation investigation
Request for cooperation in the 18th Voting Participation Survey (Regular Local Election on April 7, 2019)
In Yokohama-shi board of elections, we ask about vote participation situation of voters or contact situation with public information medium and ask what kind of thought you have about election and politics, We conducted a questionnaire aimed at making it a basic document for planning measures to improve turnout in the future.

Write the name of one candidate on the ballot for each election.
・The Yokohama congressist election ballot: Light blue, the name of one candidate is self-written.
・For the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly election ballot: Light yellow, the name of one candidate is self-written.
・Kanagawa governor's election ballot: White, the name of one candidate is self-written.

Those who meet both age requirements and Address requirements
(1) Age requirements (those who are 18 years or more as of voting date)
*Those born by April 8, 2001 (the day following the day 18 years before the voting date)
(2) Address requirements (those who have been recorded in the Basic Resident Register for at least three months since the date resident certificate was created)
If you have changed Address, please check the following.
Oh Those who have been transferred from outside Yokohama City Those who have moved in by Friday, December 28, 2018 (three months before the electoral list registration reference date)
→It will be a vote in Address after moving in.
Of those who have moved in after Friday, January 4, 2019, those who have moved in from outside Kanagawa cannot vote.
Those who have moved in from other municipalities in Kanagawa Prefecture can only vote in the previous Address (prefectural assembly / governor).
In this case, a "certificate of continuing to have Address in Kanagawa Prefecture" issued by the municipality or "confirmation of continuing to have Address in Kanagawa Prefecture" is required.

For adjustment of electoral list, place where we can vote is different to stop transfer of electoral list with Address transfer in the city from Saturday, March 2, 2019 to election date.

How to vote at a business trip destination, hospitalization destination, home (certain requirements are required), etc.
1.Fill out the “Invoice and Oath” with required items, submit it to the Election Commission of the ward registered in the electoral list by bringing or mailing, and request a ballot.
※required documents is in the board of elections of the municipality where you stay. You can also download from voting in municipalities that are not registered in the electoral list.
2.In addition to ballot papers and voting envelopes (outer and inner envelopes), you will receive an absentee voting certificate.
3.From the day after the notification date, bring the necessary documents for voting to the municipal election committee of the place of stay, etc.
※Please bring the envelope containing the absentee vote certificate without opening it.
※Please do not write the candidate's name on the ballot in advance.
4.From the day after the notification date to Saturday, April 6, absentee voting will be performed at the nearest municipal election board place.
