About the amount of member of the Yokohama City Council member and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor (report)

　We report the amount of member of the city council member and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor whose opinion was requested for this council on January 21, 2020, according to the attached sheet.

Attachments

　With salary table of general staff being revised in December, 2019, this council, from the mayor, based on the provisions of the Council Ordinance, Article 2-2 of the Yokohama City Special Staff Member Remuneration, Opinion was asked about the amount of member of the Diet remuneration of member of the Diet and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor (hereinafter referred to as "the amount of member of the Diet remuneration").
　In response to this, the Council exchanged various opinions on the level of parliamentary remuneration.
　Based on the fact that the cumulative salary revision rate for general employees since FY2011 (hereinafter referred to as the “cumulative revision rate”) was + 0.03%. The following opinions were given.

・The cumulative revision amount obtained by multiplying the monthly salary of the mayor by the cumulative revision rate is a plus, and we think that it should be revised originally, but we think that it should be left unchanged because it is small as 419 yen.
・Considering that past councils have determined that if the cumulative revision amount is small, it is considered that the same idea should be considered this time as well.
・This time, the deferment is appropriate, and we believe that the revision time should be determined by referring to the cumulative revision rate in the future.

　The Council, taking into account these opinions comprehensively, and concluded that the amount of remuneration for members of the Diet should be "leave unchanged".
