With salary table of general staff being revised in December, 2010, this council, from the mayor, based on the provisions of the Council Ordinance, Article 2-2 of the Yokohama City Special Staff Member Remuneration was asked about the amount of member of the Diet remuneration of member of the Diet and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor.
In response to this, the Council exchanged opinions from various angles on the amount of remuneration for special staff members.
In this council, the level of remuneration for members of the city council of Yokohama City and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor have been unchanged since it was revised in December 1995, regardless of the salary revision situation. thing. In addition, discussions were conducted based on the fact that the salary of general staff in FY2010 was reduced, and the cumulative salary revision rate for general employees since 1995 was minus 1.67%. The following opinions were given as main opinions.

○ Because the staff is falling, it should be reduced in consideration of citizen sentiment.
○ There is also an idea that it may be higher in terms of job responsibilities, but citizens are working hard while the private sector is falling. From such a citizen's point of view, it's reasonable to lower it.
○ As a citizen, various activities are being reduced. Considering such a situation and cumulative, isn't it better to lower it?
○ The cumulative salary revision rate has exceeded minus 1%, and we believe that it is time for revision.
○ Since the cumulative is negative, it should be lowered.
○ Considering the responsibilities of special jobs, the cumulative amount is negative, but it is not enough to revise.

As for this council, while considering such opinions comprehensively and considering the importance of the duties of special staff, the amount of member of the Diet remuneration of city council members and the amount of salary of the mayor and deputy mayor, We have reached the conclusion that we should make a reduction.
