[Press Release] About the postponement of the 2020ITU World Triathlon Para Triathlon Series Yokohama Games

The ITU World Triathlon Series Yokohama Games Organizing Committee (members: Yokohama City, Yokohama City Sports Association, Japan Triathlon Union, Nikkei Sports Newspaper) has decided to hold the "2020ITU World Triathlon Para Triathlon and Para Triathlon Series Yokohama Tournament" scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2020 due to the spread of COVID-19.
Until today, we have been discussing various possibilities for the event, especially in the Age Division, with related organizations and experts, and have been discussing with the International Triathlon Union (ITU), the Japan Triathlon Union (JTU), and related organizations. However, in consideration of the spread of COVID-19, we decided that we had to abandon the event.
