In June 2020, the Power Harassment Prevention Act (Revised Labor Policy Comprehensive Promotion Act) was enforced, and all companies were required to take measures to prevent SOGI harassment*1 and outing*2 . We will talk about how companies should respond while explaining basic knowledge about LGBT (sexual minorities) and introducing experiences and thoughts at the workplace of the parties concerned.
*1 SOGI Harassment: Harassment related to sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI)
*2 Outing: Actions to expose secrets such as sexual orientation or gender identity that are not made public to others without the consent of the individual.
