On July 3, the 56th Designated City Mayors Conference was held in Tokyo and attended by The Mayor of Yokohama Yamanaka Takeharu. Four proposals and requests were adopted, such as "Proposal of Designated City Mayors' Association on Extension and Expansion of Local Base Strengthening Tax System and Local Revitalization Support Tax System for Further Promotion of Regional Revitalization".
