Today, the 4th meeting of the Designated City Mayors 'Association “Project for Realizing Diverse Large City System” was held in which Mayor Norihiko Fukuda, Mayor of Kawasaki serves as the project leader, and the mayors of 13 designated cities started discussions in FY2023.
At this meeting, we discussed the direction of specific initiatives in FY2023.
Based on the discussions at the meeting, designated cities will work together to promote activities aimed at realizing various metropolitan systems, such as the legislation of special cities, which will lead to fostering momentum throughout the country.
