The largest super-large ship ever has entered the port at Honmoku Pier at Yokohama Port!

　Today, CMA CGM (France) container ship "APL" Esplanade (approximately 370m long, 51m wide, maximum loading capacity 13,892TEU*1) of CMA CGM (France) entered the port at Honmoku Pier D4 container terminal in Yokohama Port for the first time, and commemorative gifts were presented at a welcome ceremony commemorating the first arrival of the ship.
　The vessel has been deployed on the ACSA1 route on Central and South America routes operated by CMA CGM, making it the largest 14,000 TEU container vessel in the past.
　The 13,000 TEU ships deployed on the same route are also entering the Honmoku Futo D4 container terminal.
　In the future, Yokohama Port will continue to narrow down the ports of ports by increasing the volume of containerships in Asia, further enlargement of container ships to pursue economies of scale, and reorganization of alliances between shipping companies.
