Seawalls in Fukuura and Sachiura districts, Kanazawa-ku have been completed in preparation for the typhoon season.

Port and Harbor Bureau has been working on disaster recovery projects in Fukuura and Sachiura districts in Kanazawa Ward, which were damaged by the high waves of Typhoon No.15 in 2019. Following the raising of the revetment structure and wave-dissipating blocks, seawalls have been developed on the sidewalk and the boundary between private land and green spaces (behind the seawall) based on the results of preventing flooding with sandbags in Typhoon No. 19, 2019. . This has improved safety against high tides and high waves.
