During the summer vacation of 2021, the Yokohama Institute of Environmental Science conducted a city-wide survey of elementary school student at 341 Yokohama Municipal Elementary Schools schools to report creatures found near their homes and schools. We are pleased to announce the results of responses from elementary school student at 167 schools.
We have obtained valuable information that will contribute to conservation biodiversity in the future, including the possibility that the relationship between elementary school student and creatures may have decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the fact that the number of sparrows and southern butterflies Aosji Ageha, have been found in coastal urban areas east of the city.
