The Institute of Environmental Science conducts summer (July and August) temperature observations at 41 locations in the city.
The average temperature for all locations in July and August 2021 was about the same as the average over the past 10 years (2011–2). However, even in this year, which is close to the average, the temperature changes drastically in August by season, and there were days when the heat was severe in early and late.
