Yokohama City aims to connect water and green natural environment and the blessings of biodiversity to the next generation, aiming to be a town where nature and people coexist, deepen their understanding of biodiversity, and take action to protect biodiversity. We carry out enlightenment to lead.
This time, Kanto Gakuin University, McDonald's Nippon Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City collaborate to learn about biodiversity and the procurement of McDonald's sustainable ingredients and materials, and designed a tray mat laid on trays used at McDonald's stores. Online voting will be held for anyone to participate in the design. The works selected for the highest award will be presented as actual tray mats at all McDonald's stores.
In order to encourage citizens to deepen their understanding of biodiversity, we will call on many people to participate in the polls and exhibit at Yokohama City Hall. In addition, one of them will be awarded the City of Yokohama, Environmental Planning Bureau Prize.
