Concluded a partnership agreement with Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture on regional revitalization utilizing renewable energy.

　In order to realize the Zero Carbon Yokohama decarbonization by 2050, Yokohama City is strengthening its global warming countermeasures and energy measures, and is promoting initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable metropolis model.
　To date, we have concluded a partnership agreement on renewable energy with 15 municipalities that have abundant renewable energy resources. In order to strengthen our efforts, we have concluded a partnership agreement with Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture on regional revitalization utilizing renewable energy.
　Through this agreement, we will promote cooperation on renewable energy and work to realize a decarbonized society based on the philosophy of the "Regional Recycling Symbiosis (*)", which maximizes the vitality of the region.

※　Regional Recycling Symbiosis : The idea of revitalizing the region by making use of local resources according to its characteristics, forming an independent and decentralized society, and complementing and supporting neighboring areas and local resources. Advocated in the Fifth Environmental Basic Plan (Cabinet decision in April 2018)
