Support for decarbonization management! Formulated decarbonization guidelines for SMEs

In FY2021, Yokohama City conducted a survey on decarbonization and SDGs was conducted for 10,000 small and medium-sized businesses in the city, in order to support decarbonization into the management and business activities of SMEs, which account for more than 99% of the city's businesses (response rate: 22%). As a result, about 60% of the companies answered that they think it is necessary to work, but they have not yet worked on them, and many of them raised "lack of knowledge and know-how" as issues. Based on this situation, the city aims to provide small and medium-sized enterprises aware of "what is a decarbonized approach" and to provide an opportunity to take the "first step" to work on decarbonization management. In the future, we will utilize these guidelines to support small and medium-sized businesses in the city on various occasions in cooperation with the Yokohama Corporate Management Support Foundation (IDEC Yokohama), the Yokohama SDGs Design Center, etc.
