Hazawa Yokohama National University Station Area Barrier-Free Basic Concept has been created

Based on the Barrier-Free Law, Yokohama City is working on the creation of a basic barrier-free concept around stations.
This time, based on a proposal for residents using the "Proposal System for Creating Basic Concepts *" in Article 27 of the Barrier-Free Law, we created a barrier-free basic concept around Hazawa Yokohama National University Station.
In preparing the project, we set up a “District Subcommittee” consisting of local residents, welfare-related organizations, academic experts, businesses, government officials, etc., and conducted “Machi Walk Inspection and Workshops” and “Barrier-free Information Recruitment” for about two years from January 2020, including the implementation of the project, while reflecting the voices of local residents, and worked on creating a basic concept.
※ Proposal system for drafting basic concept:
By creating a draft of the barrier-free basic concept and submitting it to the municipalities, a system that can propose new creation of the basic concept and changes to the existing basic concept.
