May is designated as a bicycle month according to the Bicycle Utilization Promotion Law.
In accordance with the Bicycle Month, the Metropolitan Area Bicycle Safety Use Measures Council, which consists of nine prefectures (Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Chiba, Saitama, and Sagamihara) during the bicycle month In addition, the period from Sunday, May 1 to Tuesday, 31st is designated as "Kyuto Prefectural City Simultaneous Bicycle Manner Up Enhancement Month".
