We are pleased to announce that the construction of the Yokohama Northwest Line, which is being jointly constructed by Yokohama City with Metropolitan Expressway Co., Ltd., has progressed and will be opened in March 2020.
We will continue to work on safety first.

The Yokohama Northwest Line is a 7.1km-long motorway connecting the Yokohama Kita Line and the Daisan Keihin Expressway (Yokohama Kohoku Junction) to the Tomei Expressway (Yokohama Kohoku Junction).
When the Yokohama Northwest Line is opened, it will be integrated with the Yokohama Kita Line, directly connected to the Tomei Expressway to Yokohama Port, improving international competitiveness, improving accessibility and improving logistics efficiency, improving the reliability of the road network in the event of a disaster, etc. It is expected to have effects such as traffic congestion such as the Hodogaya bypass and improvement of the traffic environment along the railway line.
In addition, in commemoration of the opening, a public event and a fun run event on the Yokohama Northwest Line will be held for the general public just before the opening.
The opening date and time of the event will be announced as soon as they are decided.
