Air Pollution Control Law, Noise Control Law, Vibration Control Law, Water Pollution Control Law, Sewerage Law, Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law, Ordinance on conservation of Yokohama City Living Environment (City Ordinance), Yokohama City Sewerage Ordinance, Dioxin Countermeasures We will guide you through notification and application procedures based on environmental laws such as the Special Measures Law.      
Please consult with us in advance when submitting a report or applying. About prior consultation, please use "environmental law report consultation" of Yokohama-shi electronic application, report system other than window, telephone, email.

List of Notification and Application Procedures

 For reports and applications, please download the form from the notification / application form, fill out the form, and submit it to the counter of the department in charge.
 In addition to the reception desk, we also accept electronic applications. (Some reports and applications are not accepted by electronic application.)
 Please contact the department in charge of each law to receive notifications and applications and for consultation on the contents.
 The procedure may take a few days, so please consult in advance with plenty of time when the plan for equipment etc. is almost decided.

The following requirements are only representative and do not cover all. For detailed requirements, please consult with the department in charge of law.

Other environmental laws and regulations

PRTR Law (Promotion of Chemical Substances Control)

 Businesses that meet all of the following requirements from 1 to 3 must submit a PRTR Law.
1.Target industries: Falls under any of the 24 industries listed in Article 3 of the Cabinet Order
2.Number of employees: As a whole, the number of employees used at all times is 21 or more.
3.Handling volume, etc. Establishments with an annual handling volume of 1 ton or more (0.5 tons or more for specified first-class designated chemical substances) or establishments that have special requirements facilities

Global Warming Countermeasures Plan System

 If any of the following requirements apply, it will be eligible for the system.
1.Businesses whose total crude oil equivalent energy consumption at all business sites installed in Motoichi is 1,500 kL or more
2.Among the vehicles (there are certain requirements) used by the company for business, those whose headquarters is in the city is 100 or more.

Renewable energy introduction study report system

 Building (new construction, extension or renovation) of buildings with a total floor area (in the case of extension or renovation, the floor area of the part pertaining to the extension or renovation) is 2,000 m2 or more is subject to the report.
 Please refer to the Renewable Energy Introduction Examination Report System for procedures such as notification.

Yokohama City Area Heating and Cooling Promotion Guidelines

 If any of the following requirements apply, a notification is required.
1.Construction (including renovation) of buildings with a total area of 20,000 m2 or more in the area where district heating and cooling
2.Development of an area that includes more than 1 hectare of district heating and cooling
