On Friday, July 15, 2016, in Yokohama City Council, for the first time after the enforcement of the revised Public Office Election Law, for municipal high school students toured the plenary hall and talked with city council members.
This is an initiative to deepen interest in parliament and politics as the age of suffrage has been reduced to 18 years of age or older.
On the day, 26 students from five municipal high schools participated, and lively questions and answers were held during the talks.
