Held the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development

On Thursday, June 29, the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD VII), which was decided to be held in Yokohama in 2019, was hosted by the Japan-African Friendship Yokohama City Council Parliamentarians' League.
On the day of the event, Mr. MATSUMOTO Ken and Chairman of the League of Representatives SATO Hirofumi gave a speech and introduced initiatives for "Yokohama, the city closest to Africa in Japan."
In Talk Session 1, Mr. Sakai (Secretary General Manager of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development), First Section Manager of Africa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Director of the International Bureau of Yokohama City, talked about their future prospects and enthusiasm for the success of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
After that, the Vice Chairman of the FURUKAWA Naoki and the Director of the International Bureau presented their efforts. In Talk Session 2, participants from Africa who are active in Yokohama and Yokohama, who are active in Africa, spoke about future exchanges between Africa and Yokohama.
