The Americas Friendship Yokohama City Council Parliamentary League was established.

In Yokohama City Council, volunteer members of the city council established the Yokohama City Council League of Representatives of the Americas, including the fast-growing Central and South America, to attract the vitality of the Americas, including the fast-growing Central and South America.
At the General Assembly held on Wednesday, October 16, officers were appointed after the rules of the association were decided (Chairman: Masato Yokoyama). Mr. Koichi Yatabe, Vice Chair of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Akiko Kumagai, Director of JICA Yokohama (Director of the Overseas Migration Museum), Vice Chairman Thomas Tillerrell of the Yokohama Japan-America Association, and Soichi Aoki, Deputy Director of the United States-Canada were also present.
