In Yokohama City Council, Yokohama City High School students visit City Counsil to foster the ability of young people to participate in politics.
On Friday, December 24, 2021, 22 students (Sakuragaoka, Tozuka (all and regular), East, South, Yokohama Science Frontier, Minato Sogo) visited Yokohama City Council, where they visited the Capitol and exchanged opinions with four members of the city council (Isamu Yokoyama, Tanaka, Kiuchi, and Kawaji).
Students who talked with members of the Diet about the future of Yokohama and global issues, such as the SDGs, received comments such as "It was an opportunity to think more deeply about politics."
High school students are eager to exchange opinions with city council members on the future and issues of Yokohama.
