About pig fever
On July 8, 2021, a case of suspected pig fever occurred at a pig farm in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and a national test found that the pig fever was positive.
Pork fever is characterized by its strong infectiousness to pigs and boars.
Animal dealers handling mini pigs, etc. should ensure thorough breeding management and pay attention to the health status of each individual.
In the unlikely event that you suspect a pig fever, please contact your local livestock hygiene center immediately.
※Pork fever does not infect humans.
