About renewal of first-class animal handling business

The first-class animal handling business must be renewed every five years.
The renewal procedure is possible two months before the registration expiration date.
Please apply for renewal at Health Sanitation Division, Health and Welfare Center, where your office is located.
If there is no change or addition of the applicant's Address, name, facility, or type of business
Please prepare the following documents and apply for renewal at Health Sanitation Division, Health and Welfare Center, where the office is located.

1 Class 1 Animal Handling Business Registration Renewal Application (Form No. 4) (PDF: 218KB)
One copy is required for each type of business.
Please refer to "Remarks" on the back of the application form.
"Sale" and "rental" also require the method of implementing the first-class animal handling business (Form No. 1 Separate) (PDF: 134KB).
When handling dogs and cats in "sales", a health and safety plan for dogs and cats (Form No. 1 Separate 2) (PDF: 70KB) is also required. .
Documents showing that the land and buildings of 2 establishments and breeding facilities have the title necessary for the implementation of the project.
(Attachment is required from June 1, 2020. For more information, please refer to "Documents showing that you have the title necessary for the implementation of the business for the land and buildings of establishments and breeding facilities" in "Registration, change, and closing of Class 1 Animal Handling Business". )
3 Documents showing that applicants, animal handling managers, employees and officers of corporations do not fall under Article 12, Paragraph 1, Item 1 to Item 7-2 of the Act (Reference Form No. 1) (PDF: 158KB)
4 Class 1 Animal Handling Business Registration Certificate (currently issued)
5 Identification of person in charge of animal handling (currently issued) ※With revision (the enforcement on July 25, 2024) of "the regulations enforcement regulations about the protection and management of Yokohama-shi animal", we do not issue now.
6 Update fee: 10,000 yen per industry
※After June 1, 2021, businesses that breed or store dogs or cats that perform renewal procedures for the first time need a floor plan and elevation view indicating the scale of cages.

When there is a change or addition to the applicant's Address, name, facility, type of business, etc.
Submissions may be added or a new registration may be required.
If there are any changes, please consult with Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division in the ward where the office is located in advance.
