Matters to be considered at business sites based on the declaration of emergency of COVID-19 infection

 On April 7, 2020, the government issued a state of emergency in Kanagawa Prefecture, and on April 9, the Ministry of the Environment requested related organizations to "Considerations at business sites based on the declaration of a state of emergency for COVID-19."
 Even animal handlers should try to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection by referring to the following items.
In addition, the owner is responsible for proper breeding and management of animals and lifelong breeding. We hope that you will continue to thoroughly implement the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matters to be considered

・For gatherings with "three secrets", refrain from holding them (restrictions on holding events)
・Thoroughly implement general hygiene measures such as hand washing and cough etiquette
・Avoid "three secrets" in the workplace
・If possible, promote teleworking (telework)
・Active use of staggered commuting and bicycle commuting
・Enhance ventilation, etc. at business sites
・Exemption from work for workers with cold symptoms such as fever and recommendation to refrain from going out.
・Promote the use of videoconferencing (reducing travel through business trips)

About custody of pets raised by infected person

When keeping pets bred by infected people, please take necessary measures, such as obtaining an agreement between staff members on the response, at the business establishment that accepts them.
In addition, please refer to "What you need to know to keep pets kept by people infected with COVID-19" prepared by the Tokyo Veterinary Medical Association for custody, and respond.
If necessary, try to get the advice of a veterinarian.
