Information on COVID-19 infection (for animal handlers)

Matters to be considered at business establishments based on the declaration of emergency of COVID-19 infection

 On April 7, 2020, the government declared a state of emergency in Kanagawa Prefecture, and on April 9, the Ministry of the Environment issued a request to related organizations regarding "Considerations at business sites based on the declaration of a state of emergency for COVID-19 infection."
 Please refer to the following items to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection by referring to the following items.
It is the owner's responsibility to properly manage animal breeding and lifelong breeding of animals. We would like to ask for your continued efforts even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Matters to be considered

・Please refrain from holding gatherings with "three dense" (restrictions on holding events)
・Thorough general hygiene measures such as hand washing and cough etiquette
・Avoid "Three Cities" in the workplace
・If possible, promote teleworking (telework)
・Active use of staggered commuting and bicycle commuting
・Encouragement of ventilation, etc.
・Exemption from work for workers who have cold symptoms such as fever, and encourage them to refrain from going out
・Promoting the use of video conferences (reduction of travel from business trips)

About custody of pets bred by infected people

When keeping pets bred by infected people, please take necessary measures, such as obtaining agreement between staff regarding the response within the receiving office.
In addition, please refer to "What you need to know to keep pets kept by people infected with the new coronavirus" prepared by the Tokyo Metropolitan Veterinary Medical Association.
Be sure to get your veterinarian's advice if necessary.
