burnable garbage, which is served from households in Yokohama, contains 24,000 tons of untouched food annually, which is called food loss. As part of this effort to reduce food loss, Yokohama City is working with food bank organizations to conduct food drives at events and other events and create an environment where food can be donated in familiar places such as retail stores. Through this initiative, we encourage the habit of checking the inventory and deadlines of foods stored at room temperature, such as foods purchased at each home and those received at mid-year and year-end gifts, and we aim to reduce food loss by providing food drives as soon as possible.
